LADIES' GOLF TITLE
NEW ZEALANDERS AT HOME Now that the British ladies' golf title has been decided, with victory going to the fine Scottish golfer. Mrs. liolni, it can lie s.iid that New Zealand's repreRvnratives acqtiitred themselves most creditably. having in view the. high standard of golf ruling in the event. It was unfortunate for Miss Kay that the ultimate winner should stage a run ol uncanny putting over the opening holes, to thereby establish a winning position. The Dominion champion probably realised the futility of 1 ravelling thousands of miles for an holes match with the ball running against her. Miss (Jaisford did splendidly, and. had she clinched . her match in the third round when dormv two, might quite conceivably have provided the sensation of the tournament. She was playing smoothly and apparently improving with each round. ,
Mrs. Jacohsen is to be congratulated on her fine display of match temperament, when she beat a player of the deputation of Miss Gourlay.
