TO-DAY'S PROGRAMME FINAL INVITATION MATCH AUSTRALIAN COMPETITORS The Wellington Trotting Club's special meeting will be held at Hutt Park to-dav, the chief feature being the Invitation Match in which the two Australian pacers Walla Walla and Auburn Lad will make their filial appearance against the high-class New Zealand horses Harold Logan, Red Shadow. Lindbergh, Impromptu and Glenrossie, The single betting pool system will be used, with two dividends in fields of six, seven' or eight, and three dividends in fields of nine or more. Tomkinson, who was injured while loading trotting horses for Wellington on Wednesday, is still under observation in a private hospital. lie is suffering from internal injuries, the extent of which has not yet been determined. and an operation may be deemed necessary. The medical report to-day stated that he was not out of danger, but showed a. satisfactory improvement, although suffering considerable pain.
