TRIP OVER TARARUAS EIGHT DAYS OVERDUE [BY TKIjKGRAVH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Thursday Anxiety is being felt regarding the safety of Mr. Alfred Young, of Ghuznee Street, Wellington, who arranged to meet some friends at Kaitoke on May 9 after a tramp through the rough country of tlio Tararua Banges, about the Waiohine and Tauherenikau Valleys, but who has not yet been heard of. Sir. Young, who is 22 years of age, and is said to bo an experienced tramper, set out on April 26 with the intention of going over the grounds for which ho has a trapping licence. He had food sufficient for 14 days and ho told liis friends that ho might be a day or two late, but as ho is now eight days overdue they are afraid he may be lost or that he has met with an accident. The weather has been bad iu the lararuas recently and snow has fallen.
