PARISHIONERS' MEETING

PAPATOETOE ANGLICANS PROGRESS DURING YEAR There was a good attendance at the annual meeting of parishioners of St. George's Anglican Church, Papatoetoe, on Wednesday night. Tho annual report submitted by the vestry secretary, Mr. Page, showed that satisfactory progress had been made during the year. The only capital expenditure had been for minor structural alterations to the vicarage. As tho result of a special appeal the church obligations had been reduced by about £4O. The balancesheet showed a small credit. During the year there had been a change in the ministry, and the church welcomed the new vicar, the Rev. H. H. Bedford. Officers were elected as follows: — Vicar's warden, Mr. E. D. Wilkinson; people's warden, Mr. R. Smith; secrerctarv, Mr. Page; treasurer, Mr. W. J. Nicholson; vestry, Messrs. D. Burnside, J. C. Burrow, W. Cutforth, IT. M. Didsbury, W. J. Nicholson, Pago, H. P. Sibley, Fisher and E. Smith.
