INTOXICATION CHARGE
LORRY DRIVER FINED £lO SUSPENSION OF LICENCE An admission that he had been found in a state of intoxication while in charge of a motor-lorry was made by Russell Noel Harry ICkins, aged 34, motor-driver, in the Police Court yesterday. Senior-Sergeant Flanagan said that at 0.10 j).m. on Wednesday Sergeant Burnett and a constable saw accused in charge of a. stationary motor-lorry in Upper Queen Street. He was in an advanced state of intoxication and was arrested. Accused, who was stated by the magistrate, J\lr. K. K. Hunt, to have been convicted once before of a similar offence, was fined £lO and debarred from holding a driver's licence for J2 months. He was also ordered to pay £1 Is medical expenses. Seven days were allowed in which to pay, default being fixed at one month's imprisonment.
