Mr. A. B. Lane, manager of th« United Press Association, will leaye Wellington next Thursday on a visit to Sydney and Melbourne.
Mr. W. H. E. Flint, of Christchureh, chairman of directors of the New Zealand Refrigerating Company, is to leave early in May on . a business visit to England.
Dr. W. Hunter Will and Mrs. Will, of Palmerston North, arrived from thu South yesterday and will leave by the Mariposa to-day for Los Angeles. They are at the Grand Hotel.
Dr. E. F. d'Ath, professor of pathology at the Otagn University Medical School, left by the Monowai for Sydney last evening to attend the cancer convention at Canberra.
Mr. Justice Frazer, president of the Arbitration Court, arrived from "Wellington by train yesterday to preside at sittings of the Court in Auckland. He is at the Station Hotel.
Dr. V. G. Heiser, of New York, eastern director of the Rockefeller Foundation, who arrived in New Zealand some weeks ago from Sydney, will leave by the Mariposa to-day for Suva.
Archdeacon W. A. R. . Fitchett, Bishop-elect of Dunedin, has been appointed vicar-general of the diocese, the retiring bishop, the Rt. Rev. . Isaa>j Richards, having left this week to reside in Christchurch.
Mr. A. S. Richards, M.P. for Roskill, and Mr. W. E. Parry, M.P. for Auckland Centra], returned by the express from Wellington yesterday morning,' after attending the annual Labour Party conference in Christchurch.
Dr. Eben L. Wilson, who for two years has been a member of the resident staff of the Auckland Hospital, will leave Napier to-day by the Port Curtis for England. Dr. Wilson will take a post graduate course and gait) further medical experience in English hospitals.
Mr. R. W. Johnson, president of Johnson and Johnson, the well-known American manufacturers of surgical supplies, arrived from Rotorua yesterday after a tour of New Zealand. He will leave by the Mariposa to-day with Mrs. Johnson on his return to the United States.
