Sir, —If the following changes were made law, it would be for the betterment of New Zealand: —Summer months of labour to be from October 1 to March •'I; winter months from April 1 to September :'»0; hours of labour, morning from 8 "a.m. to 12 noon, evening from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.; no half-holiday or saints' days; a full day holiday to lie given on the first Wednesday in each month; sports of all kinds to be strictly prohibited during working hours by law.- If necessarv Government could give permits.
