MILK FOR GROWTH

There is one state of impaired development which is not common, but which should be mentioned. A child may grow to a certain height, fill out normally and show all the signs of excellent health, but fail to continue growing. This is due to a. dietaiy deficiency of a particular kind. A diet which does not include sufficient milk may easily be deficient in the one substance (lysine) which has the greatest influence on growth, or without which growth is slow or non-existent.
