A British official wireleßs message states that Versickle, horse much favoured for the race, was injured when the horse box taking him to the course-collided with an ambulance. The horse box was overturned and Verßickle received cuts on both forel»us, necessitating its withdrawal from the race. WARWICK FARM TO-MORROW'S MEETING NORTON PLATE. PROSPECTS • " SYDNEY, March 26 In connection with the Warwick Farm races on Saturday acceptors for the Chipping Norton Plate are:—Closing Time (9.3), Oro and Peter Pan (9,0), Lough Neagh and Peter Jackson (8.13), Silver Scorn (8.11), LimarcJi (8.9), Blixten (8.4). With Rogilla and Chatham absent from this race, Mr. Jamieson holds a strong'pair in Closing Time and Limarch, while Peter Pan, Which galloped seven furlongs in 1.29} to-day, will be closely followed. This gallop was his best eSort since the spring. Peter Jackson ran the best mile this morning in 1.43}. ' . Silver Scorn recorded 1.30} for seven furlongs. . , Hogilla, which has top weight in the Liverpool Handicap, ran five furlongs in 1.4}. Closing Time did a imilo easily in 1.45. Limarch and Forestry did the mile in 1.452. Chatham' was in good fettle. This was disclosed hy his six furlongs in 1.16. , Sir John has ' been taken out of the Fairfield Handicap, although well in at 9.5. NORTHLAND TROTTING CLUB EPSOM MEETING ARRANGED With the permission of the Minister of Internal Affairs, the New Zealand, Trotting Conference and the Auckland Trotting Club, the Northland Trotting Club (Whangarei) will hold its annual meeting at Epsom on Monday. April 30. thus forming a two days' fixture with the Auckland Trotting Club's meeting, which will be held on Saturday. April 28. The Northland programrhe consists of eight races, the _ stakes totalling £940.'
