OBITUARY

MRS. S. NTTTSEY The death occurred yesterday at her home in Onewa Road, Northcote, of Mrs. Sophia Nutsey, after a long illness. Born at Chatham Islands nearly 72 years ago, Mrs. Nutsev came to New Zealand with her parents, arriving; at Christchurch when 18 years of age. She was married there to Mr. Joseph Nutsey and in 1899 they came to Auckland with their family, settling on the western foreshore of Northcote, known as Hall's Beach. Mr. Nutsey died a few years later. With the exception of some two years spent in South Africa with her daughter, Miss Emily Nutsey, Mrs. Nutsey lived at Northcote. I ntil illhealth compelled her to relinquish activities fire years ago Mrs. Nutsey was a staunch worker for St. John's Anglican Church. She is survived by two daughters, Miss E. M. Nutsev, lady superintendent of the Auckland Hospital, and Mrs. R-. Gordon Hunt, of Northcote.
