RISE IN EGG PRICES OTHER VALUES UNCHANGED An increase of 4d in the price of eggs, which are now selling at Is lOd a dozen, -is practically the only change in the retail prices of foodstuffs this week. Green vegetables, especially cauliflowers, are becoming scarcer, as supplies from the Ohakune district are being diverted to the Wellington market. Te Kauwhata grapes are in very heavy supply. Unfavourable weather has caused a scarcity of schnapper flounder, but prices of all varieties of fish remain unaltered.
