THE FRIENDLY SOCIETIES A' very satisfactory position was revealed by the roport presented at the annual meeting of the Auckland Friendly Societies' Indoor Bowling Association. The report atatec that 37 unemployed . members had been helped by 'way of * free entry to tournaments and this concession would again be in operation this season. , Tho balance-sheet slhowed a credit balance of £2l 14s 2d.. . ' . . „ , . ~ In appreciation of his fine work for tho association by the retiring past president, Mr. P. A. Harris, it was decided to . make him u suitable presentation. . The following officers were elected President, Bro. P. Hammond; vice-president, Bro. W. H. Drew; past-president, Bro. A. Jenkin: secretary and treasurer. Bto. G-. l<. Day; honorary auditor, Bro. T. J. kP. ry: management committee, Mrs. L. Boles, Bros. F. A. Harris. D. Hammond. H. Halstead. P. J. Mansell, H. A. "Wright. R. B. Brodie, C. Llewelyn.
