AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION 1 ' 1 SOUND FINANCIAL POSITION "There is no doubt of our Bound financial position," said Mr. G. Henning, who presided over a largo attendance of members at the annual meeting of the Auckland Wrestling Association Inst evening. "Assets are £IOOB, with liabilities only £sl. The association staged over 19 matches, as ngainst 15 the previous year. There are distinct hopes of a revival of the .eport in New South Wales, where it was hoped to establish control on the same lines as'those in New Zealand. The new season holds promise of .being the best so far in wrestling in New Zealand. Previously, only a few overseas men have appeared, but it is expected to have about 15 visitors this year. Among tlicße will be such men as Sonnenberg, Ivolaff, Santen, Savage, Mamos, Chung, a Chinese, and Sliikina, of Japan." An expression of appreciation of the work of the committee during the past season was carried by acclamation. . The report and balance-sheet,'.which were summarised in the Herald on, March 6, ivere adopted. _ A recommendation that the new executive try to devise some scheme of compensation for serious injuries to amateurs was approved. n ; ' ' • The election of officers resulted as follows :—Patron, Sir Georgo Richardson; president, Mr. George Henning; vice-presidents.
