EASTER TOURS ARRANGED FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY ' The management committee of the Auckland Cricket Association at its meeting last evening,, granted permission to several teams to tour at Easter. The University Club was authorised to play at Rotorua, the junior representatives to play Pukekohe on Easter Monday, while other matches were sot down for Eden Park as follows:—Balmoral v. Ngatea, English Public Schools v. West Coast (Rodney), and North Shore v. Secondary Schools, at North Shore, all on Easter Monday. The Eden Club was granted the use of No. 2 wicket, and Wellesley No. 3 wicket at Eden Park for Saturday, April 14. Tlie following times for closing play up to tile end of the season were fixed: —March 24, 6.15 p.m.; April 7, G p.m.; April 14. 5.45 p.m. I'ho following fixtures were arranged for next Saturday:— ■ First Grade.—North Shore v. WHAKATANE, Tuesday The Whakatane District High School played Tauranga District High School in a cricket match for the Baker Cup. The match resulted in a win for Whakatane by 40 runs. Connolly made 35 runs, Rogers 15 and Annstrong 15. For Tauranga Budd took eight wickets for 18 runs and Whitworth two for 3. OAMARU, Tuesday A cricket match waa played between Otago and North Otago yesterday on the school 1 grounds. The wicket was easy and the outfield fast. The match resulted in a win for Otago on the first innings by five runs. Otago opened disastrously, four wickets falling for five runs. A fifth wicket 'partnership carried the total to 32, but the score was still low'until the advent of Nimmo, who' compiled 65 in 20 minutes, saving his side, the score reaching 146. The home side commenced almost as disastrously, three wickets being down for 17 runs. Most of the remaining batsmen reached double figures, taking the total to 141.
