ARBITRATION COURT
SITTING IN AUCKLAND LARGE NUMBER OF CASES Tho Arbitration Court will commence a sitting in Auckland to-morrow morning. Mr. Justice Erazor will preside, and associated with him will be Mr. W. Cecil Prime and Mr. A. L. Monteith. representing tiro employers and employees respectively. It is six months sinco tho last Auckland sitting, and many matters require consideration.
Included among the cases set down for hearing are live industrial disputes concerning tho following:—Auckland bakers, retail shop assistants, operative plasterers (fibrous section), hardware shop assistants and city cleaners, caretakers and liftmen. There are two applications to extend awards, four applications to add parties to awards and one application to strike out a party to an award.
Various compensation claims and appronticeship matters will engage the attention of the Court, tho sitting of which will probably last about three weeks. Fixtures will be made to-mor-row morning.
