ESCAPE FROM GAOL
SENTENCE REDUCED BRISBANE, March 20 While the Appeal Court at Rockhampton was reducing the sentence of James Bates from five years' imprisonment to three for burglary, Bates escaped from the local gaol. Ho was not recaptured last ni^ht.
