TWO PREMISES ENTERED Two premises occupied by J., S. Bell. Limited, wholesale cabinetmakers and upholsterers, a factory at 194 Ponsonby Road, and a showroom in Strand Arcade, Queen Street, were visited by intruders on Thursday night. A side door of the showroom was forced open and £3 in money was stolen from the office. The intruders entered the factory after breaking open a window, but an examination yesterday morning showed that nothing had been stolen. The factory in Ponsonby Road was entered by thieves twice in the week between Christmas and New Year. On the first occasion the safe was tampered with", although it was not opened, while on the second visit thieves stolo 15s in money and stamps.
