Hoi ' s of Silver Streak, winner of. the Stewards' Handicap at Riccarton. and the Railway Handicap at Ellerslie, expired on "Wednesday, and at Trentham next Saturday he will carry the colours of hi 3 owner, Mr. E. H. Aubrey, of Alta Vady station, Awamoko, North Otago. When Hobbs took a 12 months' lease of Silver Streak aB from January 11 last year the three-year-old had won only £305 in stnkes, but during his period of possession the gelding's stake-winnings were increased to £1972, giving a gross return of £IGC7 itor the year, a fine sum for a handicap sprinter to earn in these days of depleted stakes.
