CYCLISTS INJURED
FOUND NEAR MACHINES NEITHER SERIOUSLY HURT Found lying unconscious on the* Great South Road, near Penrose, with a damaged cycle beside him, Lindsay Rhind, aged 19, of Oti Virginia Avenue, Eden Terraco, Auckland, was admitted to the Auckland Hospital on Saturday suffering from concussion and injuries to the head and arms. The driver of a milk lorry on tho way to Auckland found Mr. Rhind on tho roadside about 9.30 a.m. He was lying on tho left edge of the concrete and was cut about the head and right hand. His cycle was lying underneath him and tho front wheel and handlebars were buckled considerably. After being medically attended he was removed to hospital in a St.'John ambulance. His condition last evening was not serious. The blowing-out of a tyre is believed to have been the cause of an accident which resulted in head injuries to ;i motor-cyclist, Mr. Stanley • Shennen, aged 21, of Huapai, yesterday afternoon. Mr. Shennen was found beside his machine on a road near Huapai in nu unconscious condition. He was admitted to the Auckland Hospital ana hi* condition last evening was reported as not serious.
