HAMILTON NEWS

DRAMATIC EVENING Three one-act plays were presented in the Winter Show Hall on Thursday evening, with the object of assisting the funds of the Waikato Welfare League. There was a good audience and the plays proved to lie very entertaining. " The Man Who Came Back " was played by Mrs. G won Marsh, Eva Becche, Peggy Penney and Olaf Hall. .Mr. Hall wrote the play, treating a dramatic theme with considerable success. The Hamilton Comedy Players staged " The Young Idea," in which excellent work was performed by Phyllis Torpy and Mavis Lnngloy. A charming fantasy named " The Maker of Dreams " was presented by St. George's Dramatic Club. The players were Mrs. .T. Prenton, Gnesta Hamilton, and the Rev. R. Boyt. During the evening Mr. F. A. de la Mare spoke on behalf of the Welfare League. Incidental music was provided by McLacldan's orchestra.
