RAISING OF PIGS
NORTH AUCKLAND INTEREST [from our own correspondent] WHANGAREI, Saturday A largely-attended meeting of farmers was held at Maungakaramea to consider matters in connection with the raising and marketing of pigs. Mr. N. W. Hastings, organiser for the New Zealand Co-operative Pig Marketing Association, was addressed tho meeting, explaining the working of tho association. J\lr. J. Scott Davidson, secretary of tho recently-formed North Auckland Pig Recording Association, referred to the benefits to be obtained from recording. The following committee was set up to further the interests of the New Zealand Pig Marketing Association:— Messrs. A. Babe, G. Gulbransen, T. W. Hannan, J. R. Jaggard, T. E. Churches, A. C. Hayward, and W. H. Gillingham, the latter was also appointed secretary,,
