Lieutenant H. B. C. Holmes, f ot , merly of 11.M.5. Philomel, left by the Ruahine on Saturday on his return to England. He was accompanied by M rSi Holmes and Miss V. C. Holmes.

Mr. J. A. E. Mulgan, of Auckland, a graduate of the Auckland University College, loft by the Ruahine 011 Saturday for England. He will continue his studies at Merton College, Oxford.

Mr. R. M. Brown, telegraph supervisor at Wanganui, has been elected unopposed as a member of the Public Service Superannuation Board to represent the contributors belonging to the Post and Telegraph Department.

Lieutenant-Commander W. H. Bremner, D.5.0., D.S.C., R.N., who recently returned to England from service at the Navy Office, Wellington, and who has now been appointed for duty with .the League of Nations Committee, will be assistant to Admiral Bellairs, who is the Navy representative on the League of Nations Committee. Lieutenant-Com-mander Bremner served with distinction in command of coastal motor-boat 3 during the war.
