TENNIS SOCIAL

The Inst of the social evenings given by the Dunholme Lawn Tennis Club during the winter season was held in the Pcnwomen's Club Rooms on Wednesday night. There was a large attendance of members and friends, and a most enjoyable evening was spent. The programme consisted of a pianoforte solo, Hungarian Rhapsody, No. 0 (Liszt), played by Miss J. Smith; a sketch, "My 'Rngngenient," by Miss R.. Lovell and Miss E. Adkins; a song, "The Little Irish Girl," by Mr. N. Dixon; a monologue, "On Babies," by Mr. H. Dutton; a song scena, "Yen How and his Six Little Wives" (Jones), by Mr. W. 11. Smee, with Mrs. H. Buisson, Miss P. Dixon, Miss M. Hawkins, Miss Mavis Pearce, Miss E. Pearce and Miss M. Smee; a pianoforte solo, " Veiictieniio Barcarolle " (Godard), played by Mrs. L. Marquet; a song, " The Moon and I " (Sullivan), by Mrs. H. Buisson; a onc-act play produced by Miss R. Lovell, the cast of which included Miss P. Cruickshank, Miss Gimson, Miss M. Crnicktihaiik, Miss E. Smee, Mr. W. R. Smee and Mr. H. Dutton. This was followed by supper ana a tennis competition, and the evening concluded with community singing under the direction of Mr. L. Rasmussen.
