WRESTLING
WALKER AND RUMBERG The best contest of the season is anticipated at the Town Hall this evening, when George Walker. British Empire champion, and Hal Rumberg will meet under the control of the Auckland Wrestling Association. The pair met at Wellington last Monday. Walker gaining a close decision in a fast and spectacular bout. Up to t his match both Rumberg and Walker had an unbeaten record in matches in New Zealand this season. Although beaten. Rumberg gave a very impressive showing, and had £ .wide margin of points in his favour and demonstrated his ability to extend Walker to the utmost. Rumberg will be eager to reverse the decision this evening, and a great contest should result. Amateur bouts between Whangnrei and Auckland wrestlers for the Rose Cup will precede the principal contest. The draw 13 ns follows. Whangarei names being given first:—B. Hollows v. E. Paget; G. Mischewslti v. C. Passmore: F. Hollows v. W. Waugh; J. Kissin v. C. Jones.
