FOOT AND MOUTH DISEASE Advice that the Government had no immediate intention of lifting the embargo on the importation of stock from countries in which foot-and-mouth disease exists, was received at a meeting of the Auckland Agricultural and pastoral Association council yesterday. Jn a r.jply to the association's representations in the matter, the Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. C. Pj. Maomillaii, added 'that if any proposals should be formulated for the importation of stock from Great Britain, every opportunity would be given to producers to consider the suggestions and express their wews.
