HELPING UNEMPLOYED
ONE TREE HILL DISTRICT RELIEF COMMITTEE PLAN "If there is going to be money to spend, the council should consider setting up a relief committee to administer tho funds," said tho Mayor of One Tree Hill, Mr. I. J. Goklstino, at a meeting of the council last evening, when grants totalling £4O were received from tho Metropolitan Unemployment Relief Committee. Until now it had Dot been thought necessary to havo a' roliof committee in the One Trse Hill district, said Mr. Goldstine. The cpmmitteo should comprise residents of the borough and members of the council.
Tho clerk, Mn A. Leese, said it was expected about £IOO would bo received, judging by tho present basis of allocation.
It was decided that tho Mayor and Mr. 0. L. Slyfield should discuss the matter of the formation of a committee with the clergy and residents in the district, and report to tho next meeting of tho council.
