COUNCIL DIFFERENCES
MEETING AT OPOTIKI ANOTHER TO BE CALLED [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] OPOTIKI. Tuesday When members of the Opotiki Borough Council, who voted last evening for an adjournment of tho meeting until 11 o'clock this morning, met to hold a meeting, they were informed by the town clerk that although they were welcome to use the council room tho meeting would be irregular, as neither the Mayor nor lie would attend, and whatsoever motions were passed would be out of order. The members then decided not to hold a meeting, but it is understood that they will call a special meeting by requisition, three members giving three days' clear notice.
