ATTACK ON BOY

CHEEK CUT BY BLOW VICTIM OF SECOND ASSAULT [by telegram—OWN correspondent] TE AROHA, Tuesday The 12-year-old boy, George Edmonds, who was struck on the head by an intruder on Thursday evening, was again the victim of an attack last evening. The boy, who had been attending a church meeting, was walking along Rewi Street at about 8.30 p.lll. The street is not well lighted and the boy was accosted by a man, who asked if he were "the plucky boy who had been struck by the burglar on Thursday evening." When the lad said "Yes," the man struck him on the jaw with his left fist and then ran away. The blow cut the boy's cheek open. He immediately went to tho police station, where he received attention. He declared that the man who struck him was also the man ho saw 011 Thursday.
