PROGRESS OF THE WORK ADMIRALTY'S INTENTIONS British "Wireless RUGBY, April 5 In the House of Commons to-day Sir Bolton Eyres-Monsell, First Lord of the Admiralty, said he hoped the Jackson contract at the Singapore naval base would be completed in September, and the remaining works in four years. After that it would be used as a fuelling, storing and repair base. There was no present intention to permanently station a squadron there. The basfe was within the limits of the China command.
