WHY IT WONT HEAL

BY A THYSICIAN

If one is healthy, wounds usually heal quickly, provided there is no great destruction of. the tissues. In tho wintry part of the year healing is slow and tho wounds tend to become septic. This is not, as might be thought, the result of cold, damp and lack of sunlight. It is usually because the diet is short in fresh vegetables and fruit. In the towns. there is no excuse for this shortage, for if fresh vegetables are scarce oranges and lemons are plentiful.

These two fruits are rich in the necessary vitamin you aro lacking. Taken in the morning on rising, orange juice is very beneficial. But don't be tempted to prepare it overnight. It must be fresh or it will lose its value.
