AFFAIRS AT TAUPIRI [from our own correspondent] TAUPIRI, Friday A credit balance of £5 as against a deficit last year of £9 was ehowil by the balance-sheet presented at the annual meeting last evening of the Taupiri Rugby League. The following officers were elected:—Patron, Mr. A. H. Waring; president, Mr. J. Glasgow; vice-presidents, Messrs. W. Jackways, G. H. Walter, G. Harvey, A. McKee, S. J. Wilson; secretary, Mr. J. Farrell; treasurer, Mr. E. Tremain; auditor. Mr. R. E. Hunter; selectors, Mr. M. Wilson (seniors), Messrs. T. Bailey and A. Hilton (colts); trustees. Messrs. J. Farrell and E. Tremain; committee, Messrs. S. J. Wilson, N. Wilson, M. Wilson, J. Shaw, A. Jackways, R. Garry, T. Bailey, R. T. Spencer; delegates to South Auckland Rugby League, Messrs. J. Glasgow, R. T. Spencer, T. Bailey. There was every indication of a good seaeon. The club will field two teams, a 6enior and a third grade.
