AUSTRALIANS FAREWELLED An enthusiastic farewell was given bv a number of swimming enthusiasts to the four New South Wales swimmers, 0. and F. Griffiths, V. Besomo and C. Phillips, who left Auckland yesterday by the Monowai for Sydney. Officials of the Mount Eden and North Shore Amateur Swimming Clubs, which controlled the tour of the Australians, were present. NORTH SHORE CARNIVAL The North Shore Amateur Swimming Club will hold its final carnival of the season at the Tepid Baths next Tuesday eveniner. when a varied and attractive programme of events will be decided. The main features will bo the 666 2-3 yds inter-club relay championship of 20 swimmers a-side, and the 133 l-3yds tennis clubs' men's and ladies' relay championships.
