ROARING MOTOR-CYCLES

Sir, —Hundreds of thousands of sane people are indebted to you for the article in the Herald regarding the infernal noises made by motor-cycles at night. The nuisance not only occurs at night, but all day long. The 'wonder is that this sort of tiling has been tolerated for years without effective steps being taken to end it. It is to be hoped that officers of the City Council traffic department will henceforth prosecute all offenders and also put a stop to the all too common practice of cutting corners and riding as near pedestrians as possible, although thero is plenty of loom. There is a common lack of good manners and there is absolutely no consideration for other people. Offonders ■will bo found on all main roads. Between Point Chevalier hall and the beach is a favourito spot, particularly on Wednesday nights. They also infest High Street in the daytime, greatly to the annoyance of business people. Another Sufferer.
