POPULARITY OF TRAINS [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Friday The Sunday excursion trains between tho Waikato and Auckland continue to be very popular, and in spite of the fact that tho Easter holidays were included in the first quarter of last year and do not occur until April this year, the returns show a steady increase. Tickets issued between Hamilton and Auckland for the quarter ended March 31 totalled 3000 and brought in revenue totalling £713 Is 9d. For the corresponding period last year 2824 tickets were issued, representing 8s 8d in revenue. The average number of passengers who joined the train at the Hamilton and intermediate stations last quarter was 214 a Sunday, as against 201 for the March quarter of last year.
