FINAL WOOL SALE
NO CHANGE IN PRICES BRISK BIDDING AT NAPIER LOWER GRADES SELL WELL [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS" ASSOCIATION] NAPIER. Friday Prices generally on a par with those ruling at tho recent Wellington and Wnnganui sales were obtained at the final Napier wool salo held to-night. A fairly full bench of buyers operated, mostly for lv.iglisli and Continental li rins. N A total of 50G2 bales was offered. Generally speaking, tho wool was of a better standard than is usually to be expected at the final salo of the season, and lower grade wool sold exceptionally well, especially in view of tho fact that it way fairly poor quality .from tho back country. Finer wools realised slightly lower prices than those ruling at the Wellington salo, owing to being a shade too deep. The highest price obtained was 9i{d a pound for a lino of super half-bred. Lidding throughout was brisk for all qualities and tho clearance was satisfactory. Compared with the March salo at Napier, brokers report that
prices for medium and coarse crossbred were jd to £d better; inferior, id to Jd better; pieces and bellies, about par. Hogget wool was keenly competed for at advances of up to one penny.
