NEW ZEALAND EMBARGO GROWERS SEEK REMOVAL (Received February 24, 11.25 p.m.) SYDNEY. Feb. 24 A deputation from the Australian Fruitgrowers' Federation to-day interviewed Mr. J. G. Latham, Attorney-General, and Mr. C. W. C. Marr, Minister of Health, and urged that a representative of the Federal Government be sent to New Zealand to dovelop trade and endeavour to have removed the embargo on Australian fruit.

Air. Latham, in replying, said the Government was seized with the importance of increased trade with New Zealand and woud do its utmost to effect a settlement of the fruit trouble. However, according to Stato experts, it would be unwise to raise any of the restrictions against New Zealand fruit at present. TRADE RELATIONS PROPOSED CONFERENCE [BY TELEGUATII —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Friday The Prime Minister, Mr. G. W. Forbes, stated to-day that lie had received a cablegram from the Australian Government inviting the New Zealand Government to send a Minister to Australia to discuss the trade relations between the two countries. TJp to the present, the Government had not had an opportunity to consider the invitation.
