RACE DISQUALIFICATIONS
THE DARGAVILLE CASE APPEAL BY R. A. POWELL H. GRAY ALSO GIVES NOTICE The time for lodging appeals in connection with the Dargaville racing disqualification case expires next Monday. So far, an appeal has been lodged by R. A. Powell, of Dargaville, owner of Bronze Tray, and H. Gray, of Takanini, tiaincr of Thespis, has notified his intention of appealing. Both Powell and Gray, also C. R. Powell, of Whangarei, wore disqualified for three years by the judicial committee of the Dargaville Racing Club on the ground that they were guilty of a corrupt and fraudulent practice by conspiring to assist Tetrarchate to win the President's Handicap at Dargaville on December 3. Bronze Tray was likewise disqualified for three years and his rider, A. G. Murray, for two years, while R. Home, rider of Hannibal, and L. Clifford, rider of Thespis, were each disqualified for one year. The appeals will probably bo heard next week by the Auckland District Committee of the New Zealand Racing Conference.
