"GIVEN THE AXE"
LADY SNOWDEN'S COMPLAINT LONDON, Dec. 17 "I have not resigned. I have been given the axe," said Lady Snowderi to-dav, after receiving a 'letter from the Post-master-General, Sir H. Kingsley Wood, intimating that her appointment to the British Broadcasting Corporation would terminate at the end of the year. ,
Referring to the letter, Lady Snowderi, who is one of the three to be displaced, said: "It praises our services. Why,'therefore, have they retired us? The letter , gives no reason."
