REPLY TO COMMUNISM ACTION BY IRISH CHURCHES LONDON, Dec. 17 Jn the absence of action by the Free State Government* the Catholic and Protestanl; Churches in Ireland have launched a virile defensive campaign against Communism, says the Dublin correspondent of the Evening News. Catholic bishops in a meeting at Maynootir, decided that priests must daily warn their congregations of the danger of associating, even in the slightest, with any movement showing Communist tendencies.

A speaker in the Dublin County Council recently urged that the unemployed must be given relief to prevent them from joinin the Communists. -
