MILITANT SPIRIT

YOUTH OF GERMANY

MR. CHURCHILL'S WARNING

LONDON. Nov. 23

Speaking in the House of Commons to-day, Mr. Winston Churchill made reference} to the Disarmament Conference. He said: "Though we desire to live on good terms with Germany, it should be remembered that every post-war concession to Germany has been followed by a fresh demand. "Do not let the Government delude itself that Germany is merely seeking equality of status. All the marching bands of Germany's youth are wanting weapons, and when they have got them they will seek the restoration of their former territories and colonies, which would shake France and her associates to their foundations.

"We. with our wide Imperial burdens, ought to be careful not to meddle imprudently with the structure of Europe, or we might bring about that dire catastrophe which everyone desires to avert."
