CYCLIST INJURED

MACHINE CAUGHT IN ROPE

Injuries to the head were received by Mr. William Balfour Watson, aged 41, married, as a result of falling from hia bicycle on the Great South Road between Papatoetofj and Otahuhu about 10.30 last evening.

Mr. Watson, who resides in Birdwood Avenue, Papatoetoe, and is assistant-fore-man at the Westfield freezing works, was riding close behind a* motor-lorry when his cycle became entangled in a rope attached to the lorry. He fell heavily, and was taken to the Auckland Hospital in the St. John Ambulance. His condition is not serious.
