NO SUNDAY DANCING
In view of the fact that New Year's Eve this year falls on a Saturday, cabarets are faced with the prospect of having to close sharp at midnight on one of the most popular dancing nights of the year. The management of one cabaret applied to the City Council last evening for permission to remain open until 1 a.m. on Sunday, January 1. On the motion of the Mayor, Mr. G. W. Hutchison, the request was not granted.
