DICKENS FELLOWSHIP

SUCCESSFUL SESSION ENDS The final meeting of the seventh session of the Auckland Dickens Fellowship was J held under the presidency of Mrs. Kenneth Gordon last evening when there was a record attendance. Two interesting sketches were presented. In the first, "Mr. Pickwick's Valentine," the following characters were represented Mr. Wardle (Mr. J. E. Green), Mr. Tuproan (Mr. Hooper), Mr. Winkle (Rev*. C. E. Perkins), Mr. Snodgrass (Mr. G. G. Grant), Sam Weller (Mr. T. Vivian), and Mr. Pickwick (Mr. G. S.' Bullen). The characters in the second sketch, "Fanny Squeer's Tea Party." were:— Fanny Squeers (Miss - E. Haresnape), Tilda Price (Miss Robinson), Nicholas Nickleby (Mr. T. Viviarr), and -JohnBrowdie <Mr. J. E. Green). The gathering terminated with two of Dickens favourite dances, the polka arid Sir Jtpger e C'overley.
