ONEHUNGA PRESBYTERIANS
ANNUAL MEETING HELD
Addressing the annual meeting of the Oneliung.-i Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, tho Rev. ].). D. Scott, in referring to his nomination as Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Now Zealand, said tho duties of that oflico would possibly involvo the Onehunga congregation in certain complications, lie had completed almost 2i years' service in Onehunga. Tho annual report, presented by the, session clerk, Mr. 11. A. Stoupe, showed that 20 new members had joined, making a total of 264. A warm tribute was paid to tho services of the Rev. ].). D. Scott and Mrs. Scott. Tho superintendent of tho Sunday School, Mr. F. W. Beckett, reported a successful year of work, there being 262 names on the. roll, including those at the branch schools at To Pa papa and Tawhiri Road. The statement of accounts, presented by tho treasurer, Mr. James Hitt, showed that during the year tho total receipts had been £730, including £lB4 for missions, while the church debt had been reduced by £lB7 and now it was £6OO.
The following were elected managers:— Messrs A. Skinner, G. W. J. Da vies, A. A. Smyth, R. Bissett, D. S. Chalmers, E. \V. Graham, I. G. Sergeant and W. G. Stoupe. Messrs. 11. Murdoch and R. Ramsay were appointed delegates to the Council of Christian Congregations, and Messrs. John Park and N. A. Whvto were rc-clccted auditors.
