DATES NOW FIXED

BREAKING-UP CEREMONIES

The dates for the summer school holidays and the breuking-up days have now been fixed for most of the Auckland schools, and once again there is considerable variation of the periods of vacation. All primary schools will finish the year on Friday, December 16, and resume on Wednesday, February 1. The Takapuna Grammar School will conclude the year's work ori December 9, the Epsom Girls' Grammar School on December 12, the Auckland Grammar School on December 13, and the Auckland Girls' and Mount Albert Grammar Schools on December 14. All will resume on February 7. The prize-giving ceremonies will be held as follows:—Auckland Grammar School, Tuesday, December 13, 2.30 p.m.; Mount Albert Grammar School, Wednesday, December 14, 7.45 p.m.; Auckland Girls' Grammar School, Wednesday, December 14, 3 p.m.; Takapuna Grammar School, Friday, December 9, 7.45 p.m.; Epsom Girls' Grammar School, Monday, December 12, 7.45 p.m. The Seddon Memorial Technical College will hold its prize-giving ceremony on December 8, and will break up the following day, to resume on February 7. King's College will bicak up with tho prize-giving ceremony at, 3 p.m. on December 16, but the resumption date has not yet been fixed. The Sacred Heart. College will break up on December 8 and resume on February 7.

The Diocesan High School for Girls will hold a parents' day in the form of a garden party on December 9, and will break up on December .15. The resumption date will he February .8. St. Cuthbert's College will break up on December 14 and will resume on February 9.
