NEW GOLF LINKS
DECISION AT TE KUITI
ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY
[FROM OCR OWN CORTtKSI'ONDENT] TE KUITI, Tuesday There was a large attendance at a meeting last evening to consider the proposed formation of new golf links on the Te Kuiti-Pio Pio Main Road, miles from To Kuiti. The proposal was enthusiastically received by members of both clubs, who had previously inspected the property.
It is proposed to lay down an 18 hole course. At present there is only a ninehole course at To Kuiti. The area has recently been made available and a suitable tenure can be arranged.
The meeting approved of the suggestion of forming the neV link?, and it was recommended that both the existing Hubs, Te Kuiti and Burnside, fall in with the scheme. The following committee was set up to take preliminary steps toward the acquisition of the property: —Messrs. C. Johnson, J. M. Hine, P. 11. Passau, A. W. White, T. M. Iletet, M. W. A. Home, W. Frerichs and S. M. Wilson.
