LOCAL BODY LOANS
REDUCED INTEREST SOUGHT
[by telegraph—OWN correspondent] WHANGAREI, Tuesday The Whangarei Fire Board decided today to support the resolution of the Otago Electric-power Board appealing for national intervention toward a reduction of local body interest rates. It was stated that the Fire Board was paying per cent, less statutory reductions, for its money.
The Legal and Finance. Committee was instructed to seek a reduction in the board's interest rate.
