The intsr-club lawn tennis match played on Saturday between the University and Campbell Park Clubs resulted as follows, the former names being mentioned first:— Men's singles: Sutherland lost to McKillop, (V_3, 6—5; Carnachan lost to Macklow, G—4, G—2. Ladies' singles: Miss Maya beat Mrs. Jfinies, 4—G, G—l, G —2; Miss James beat Mrs. Coldham, 3—G, G—l, G—3. Men's doubles: Sutherland and Carnachan lost to McKillop and Macklow by default; Ilooper and Ingram lost to Armstrong and Barfoot, G—l, G—l. Ladies' doubles: Misses Mays and James lost to Mesdames Coldham and Jumes, 2 sets to 1; Misses Rennie and Wakelin beat Mrs. Redpath and Miss Chambers, —i, g—2. MANG A WAR A ASSOCIATION

The second series of matches in the first round for the Austin Carr Cup competition was played lifider favourable conditions last Saturday. 0.-ini journeyed to Te Hoe and played the To Hoe A team, the match resulting in a ivin for Orini by 14 sets to 3. Te 1100 B ten ni beat Hoe-o-Tainui on the lfttter's courts by 10 sets to 7. The points for the Austin Carr Cup competition to date are:—Te Hoe B, 4: Orini, 4; lioe-o-Tainui and To Hoo A, 0. The draw for the last series of matches of the first round to bo played on Saturday week is as follows:—To Hoe B v. Orini, at Te Hoe; lioe-o-Tainui v. To Hoe A, at Hoe-o-Tainui.

Monday The annual match between teams representing the Franklin Lawn Tennis Association and the Parnell Club wilt take place on the Pukekohe Club's courts next Saturduy.
