CLAY-BIRD SHOOTING

METROPOLITAN GUN CLUB

The Metropolitan Gun Club held its usual fortnightly shoot on Saturday. A rear wind made shooting rather difficult, but nevertheless some good scoring was recorded. The principal match was one of 15 biida for a trophy presented by Mr. J. C. Whitney and was won outright by Mr, F. H. Seocombe, a very popular win. Results were:— Seven Bird Sweepstake.—F. H. Seccombo (16yds) shot tho possible and took first money. J. Malcolm (14yds), C. A. Whitney (16yds), R. H. Bartley (14yds) and n. Wright (14yds) divided second money.

Fifteen Birds Match (J. C. Whitney's trophy).—F. H. Seccombe (ICyds) shot the possible and took the trophy and first money. J. Malcolm (14yds), R. H. Bartley (14yds) and H. Wright (14yds) each scored 14 and divided second money.

Walk-up Match of Seven Birda.—F. H. Seccombe, 6, 1; J. C. Whitney aDd R. H Bartley, 5, equal, 2. Seven Birds Gimcrack Match.—J. Milson (12-18 yds) and H. Wright (12-18 yds) each scored the possible and divided the pool. Fivo Pairs Double-riso Match.—L. Peterson (14yds) shot the possible and took first money. F. H. Seccombe (14yds) and J. Malcolm (12yds) tied for second place with nine each.
