CALL TO PASTOR

LARGE ADELAIDE CHURCH

EX-AUCKLAND STUDENT

The Semaphore Baptist Church, Adelaide, which some time ago extended a call to its pastorate to the Rev. Bernard Wilson, formerly of Auckland and now of Christchurch, has after nearly a year renewed the call, and Mr. Wilson, with the consent of the Baptist Union, has accepted it. Mr. Wilson, who is only 28, is an exstudent of the Auckland Grammar School and of the Baptist College, Auckland. During his pastorate of less than three years at Opawa, Christchurch, the church ims more than doubled its membership. Mr. Wilson's father, the Rev. A. S. Wilson, who retired this year, received his theological training in Adelaide. The Semaphore Church was formed in 1878 and is one of the largest Baptist churches in South Australia.
